De Vere Intellica was commissioned by a UK Funder to produce Gold Wealth Reports on three individuals being considered as guarantors for a major new funding arrangement. Within just 48 hours, our analysis revealed that two of the candidates’ asset and liability statements were misleading, with no evidence of ownership for the listed assets. The third candidate was found to have used three distinct versions of his name at Companies House to obscure previous roles in now-insolvent companies. Additionally, ties were uncovered to other firms with a track record of poor outcomes for Funders.
Based on these findings, the Funder chose not to move forward with any of the three, likely preventing a costly misstep.
